An essential round-up of must know events for luxury professionals, including the Le Rendez-Vous de l’Horlogerie de Monaco & The Boutique Hotel Summit, London.
This month we recommend Le Rendez-Vous de l’Horlogerie in Monaco, for amateurs, enthusiasts and collectors of haute Horlogerie to connect, enthuse and even participate in Horlogerie workshops with timepiece craftsmen, presented by the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie. On the business side of things and as an official partner, we once again invite members to attend the 2011 FT Business of Luxury Summit, to explore the economic issues facing the luxury industry today.
On the other side of the world, the Luxury Business Conference in Argentina presents a unique tribute to French luxury, in the presence of Ambassador of France, M. Jean-Pierre Asvazadourian, as Argentina celebrates the Year of France in 2011. And finally, we invite hospitality professionals to discuss the finer points and the future of boutique accommodations at the inaugural Boutique Hotel Summit in London.

The Boutique Hotel Summit seeks to bring together industry professionals to discuss the latest trends in sales, marketing, branding, finance and design, at its inaugural conference in 2011. As the boutique hotel sector experiences a boom, where both small independents and large multi-nationals are investing heavily to establish a presence, the summit will discuss the recent history of boutique hotels, branding and public relations, key investment players in the sector, and of course, the future.
Following an opening cocktail reception, attendees will be invited to discuss the following topics: what defines a boutique hotel? PR, marketing and the mystique of a boutique hotel, performance of the segment, how to brand a boutique property, the profitability of restaurants and bars, who are the boutique hotel investors of today and tomorrow? And finally, where do we go from here?
